About FVC

Farnborough Volleyball Club is a small, friendly, informal club open to everyone.

The origins of the Club are linked to the Defence Evaluation and Research Agency (DERA) in Farnborough, although these days our members come from all walks of life.

DERA Farnborough Volleyball club was founded in 1996 by Danny and Lisa Humberstone. With the support of the DERA, the Civil Service Sports Council (CSSC) and the local Cody sports and social club, the Club soon established itself as one of the leading volleyball teams in the area.

In 2001, DERA separated into two organisations QinetiQ and DSTL, and the Club evolved into it's present form as Farnborough Volleyball Club.

Since September 2003, the Club has been using the fantastic facilities at the Aldershot Garrison Sport Centre for training sessions and home matches.

Over the years the Club has had numerous successes with the mens (Vipers) and ladies (Devils) teams.

We also have a mixed (Lions) team and a development (Eagles) team catering for those who wish to enjoy and gain match play experience at a less competitive level.
